On Friday January 13th Leah Resnick, our Community Coordinator for Halifax, Nova Scotia organized an information session about how National Youth Arts Week will unfold in this beautiful maritime city. The response was overhwelmingly enthusiastic, with over 60 people in attendance representing a wide range of community groups. Youth artists, arts organizations, and youth service groups made their way to the meeting despite the blustery day. Spirits were running high as individuals connected within and across sectors to see how they could work together to support youth artists in planning events. Leah is now busy continuing to help others plan local events, and working on figuring out details for the National Youth Arts Week launch party she will be coordinating.
